Amelia set a number of aviation records during her life which included being the first woman to fly solo across the atlantic ocean. She was an inspiration to a generation of women with her I can do anything attitude during a time when women were often told they couldn't do things men did. She was a strong advocate for equal rights and Amelia Earhart proved everyone wrong who said she couldn't do something because she was a woman!
